MEET THE TRAINERS
Kate McKenzie (she/her, Lead Trainer, Program Director, E-RYT 500) has been teaching yoga for over a decade. She primarily teaches tantra hatha yoga, pranayama, and meditation, but also teaches vinyasa, restorative, and yin yoga. Her classes often focus on working with subtle body energy, cultivating aliveness, and feeling embodied. She has a PhD in educational psychology and has been teaching adults in higher education for 5+ years.

Emilie Cook (she/her, Lead Trainer, ERYT500) She has been teaching yoga since 2005. Teaching restorative and gentle yoga is where her passion lies. She teaches mostly private sessions these days, tailoring each class to her individual clients, she applies this to her group classes too, often modifying the class to suit the needs of the students who show up. She believes that in this chaotic world in which we live, taking a moment to relax and reconnect with our bodies and ourselves is of utmost importance. She has owned Find Your Center Yoga studio for over 10 years.
OVERVIEW & TOPICS COVERED
Our 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training is designed for those who are ready to deepen their practice and share the transformative power of yoga with others. Over the course of 9 weekends, you'll immerse yourself in a comprehensive curriculum that blends yoga philosophy, the subtle body, anatomy and physiology, and teaching techniques with practical experience. You’ll gain the knowledge and confidence needed to inspire and guide others on their yoga journey.
This training will teach you how to teach three styles of yoga: Hatha Yoga, Gentle Yoga, and Restorative Yoga. You’ll learn:

This training is approved by Yoga Alliance. Successfully completing this training will allow you to register as a 200 RYT with Yoga Alliance.

WHEN IS THIS TRAINING? WHAT IS THE SCHEDULE?
This is a hybrid training with 9 in-person module weekends and online content to complete in between modules. All in-person modules will be held at Find Your Center in Gainesville, GA.
Fridays 5:00pm-8:30pm
Saturdays 10:00am-4:30pm
Sundays 10:00am-4:30pm
We’ll have a 30 minute onsite lunch on Saturday/Sunday and several breaks in between training topics.

MATERIALS
We’ll provide a comprehensive training manual for you that you’ll receive on the first day of training. To support our inquiry, there are additional curriculum materials you’ll need to purchase (3 books, 1 online course = approximately $140). Upon successful completion of your application and paying your deposit, we’ll follow up with a list of these materials for you to secure on your own.

TUITION
​
The total tuition cost is $3,200, including a $500 deposit and first payment by Feb. 1st.

Early bird discounts receive $300 off by paying deposit and first payment by Nov. 1st.

Those paying in full receive an extra $100 off.

The $500 non-refundable deposit is required to hold your spot. All deposit payments count towards your tuition.

Payment Plans are available (deposit + 2 payments or deposit + 4 payments)
We accept tuition payments by check or credit card (all credit card payments include an additional 3% processing fee). Upon submitting your application, Kate will be in touch with you about your payment plan and she will follow-up with a link for securing your payment. The totality of the tuition must be paid by Module 4.

ATTENDANCE POLICY Graduation from our program requires the student’s attendance at all training sessions. We also understand that sometimes life throws us curve balls. A maximum of one weekend (14 hours) may be missed if arranged in advance and approved by the program director. We will provide you some resources for making up this time, included in the price of tuition. If more than one weekend of training is missed, the student must schedule make-up sessions at a rate of $75 per hour to graduate from the program. Trainees must contact Kate, the program director, before the weekend which they will be missing. Trainees recognize that, if they miss training hours that they have not made up, they will not graduate from the program.
REFUND POLICY Upon acceptance into the program, the applicant must pay a deposit of $500 to hold the applicant's place in the program. This deposit is non-refundable. ​ If the applicant withdraws by Feb. 1st, the applicant will forfeit 100% of the deposit and the remaining balance will be refunded. The applicant can transfer the deposit to a future training program. ​ If the applicant withdraws between Feb. 2nd and Apr. 1st, the applicant will forfeit 50% of the tuition (including 100% of the deposit). If the applicant has paid more than 50% of the tuition, any amount over 50% of the tuition will be refunded. If the applicant has not paid 50% of the tuition, one final tuition payment will be required in order to reach 50% paid. The program will not give any refunds or credits after Apr. 1st and requires 100% of the tuition to be paid by May 1st. The program reserves the right to cancel any training before it begins. In that case any payments applicants have made will be refunded in full.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Do I need to have previous yoga experience to join?

While prior yoga experience is beneficial, it is not a strict requirement. Our program is designed to accommodate both beginners and experienced practitioners looking to deepen their practice and understanding of yoga.
What style of yoga will be covered in this training?

The majority of this training will be focused on Hatha Yoga. Later in the training, after you have experience with the foundations of Hatha Yoga, you’ll learn how to teach Gentle Yoga and Restorative Yoga.
What certification will I receive upon completion?

You’ll receive a 200 hour certificate accredited by Yoga Alliance. This will enable you to register as a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) with Yoga Alliance.
What do you mean by hybrid program? Is there homework or outside study required?

This program has 9 in-person modules. You’ll have some prerequisite material to review before the training starts in addition to assigned readings, videos, and assignments (e.g., anatomy, sequencing) to complete in between modules.
What are the prerequisites for this training?

The only prerequisite is a genuine interest in yoga and a commitment to learning and personal growth. A regular yoga practice is recommended but not mandatory.
What should I bring to the training?

You will need a yoga mat, comfortable clothing suitable for practice, a notebook, and any required textbooks (a list will be provided upon acceptance), water, snacks, and a lunch to eat onsite (Sat/Sun).
